Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?

Pricing will depend on the details of each event. Please contact us for a quote.

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes, as long as weather permits (if not rainy, windy, or excessively sunny).

What do you need us to provide?

Because we perform sitting down, we kindly request four armless chairs. Please let us know if this is not possible and we can provide them if necessary.

What will you be wearing at the event?

Typically men will wear a black tuxedo and women will wear a black dress.

Do you require any food at the event?

In general, if you book us for more than 2 hours, we would kindly ask if you could prepare some light refreshments as we will take a short break. We understand if this requirement cannot be met, but please let us know so we can make necessary arrangements.

Are you able to accompany another musician, instrumentalist, organist, or DJ?

Yes we should be able to, however ideally we will need to get in touch with them and have a rehearsal on the day before the event.

What are the instruments in a string quartet?

There are two violins, one viola, and one cello.

Do you take breaks?

We typically take a 5 minute break every hour.

When should we make the music selections?

We request that the selections be finalized at least two weeks prior to the event as we need to rehearse the repertoire. If you have any special requests please let us know as soon as possible. If possible we request that the music selections be printed in the event programme pamphlet.

Instead of a quartet could we have a soloist or duet?

Yes, we are flexible and can accommodate your preferences. If you would like a soloist, we could arrange that with your choice of either violin, viola, or cello. Typically, for a duet we would arrange for two violins, or a violin and a cello. However, keep in mind that most wedding repertoire is written to be performed by a complete string quartet.

Daniel played beautifully at our wedding. It was both elegant and romantic. He had an array of songs for us to pick from and was able to give us some input. Daniel was also really easy to communicate with, and he made the day more special.

Daniel played at our wedding in May 2020. He was professional, well-prepared, and overall phenomenal. His violin-playing made the day much more special and we would choose him again and again if we could!
